Look, I used to dream of just bein wit’chu
Woulda probably gave whatever to be seen wit’chu
On the block on the scene wit’chu
And the most beautiful thing wit’chu
is we shared the same passion and I could get cream wit’chu
Not a qualm, not a problem, not a single issue
Then we started arguin, havin single issues
Somethin’s off nowadays, you don’t seem official
SO! {“You’re no good I have to cut you loooooose”}
I see you with them other artists and it’s sickenin
E’rything’s changed since we parted, you been different
Do whatever for bread boo when you started trickin
For real though {“You’re no good I have to cut you loooooose”}
How you could thug me?
If I can’t be me when I’m wit’chu, tell me how could you love me?
(How you) Get so ugly - eat it, beat it, treat it better than niggaz
so you still be dyin to fuck me, baby don’t interrupt me!
Ain’t complete tryin to compete but you judge me
What you really think of me, you disgust me
I 12-step my addict itch
So Method Man, you could have that bitch
But now she got neighbors against me, still her favorite MC
I just hit her hard and she got papers against me
It’s cool; I get up wit’chu later if meant be
Just text them old heads, tell ‘em mate with they memories

And if somebody would’ve told me a month ago
Fronting though, yo I wouldn’t wanna know
If somebody would’ve told me a year ago
It’d go, get this difficult
Feeling like Katrina with no fema
Like Martin with no Gina
Like a flight with no visa
First class with the seat back I still see ya
In my past, you on the other side of the glass
Of my memory’s museum…

…But you see, here in America the attitude that is fed to us is that outside of America there live lesser people. “Fuck them, let them fend for themselves.” No, Fuck you, they are you. No matter how much you want to dye your hair blond and put fake eyes in, or follow an anorexic standard of beauty, or no matter how many diamonds you buy from people who exploit your own brutally to get them, no matter what kind of car you drive or what kind of fancy clothes you put on, you will never be them. They’re always gonna look at you as nothing but a little monkey. I’d rather be proud of what I am, rather than desperately trying to be something I’m really not, just to fit in. And whether we want to accept it or not, that’s what this culture or lack of culture is feeding us.

AZ Governor Brewer signed SB1070 into law today. I can now be stopped in AZ by the police and be arrested for no other reason other then the color of my brown skin. What’s next? Historically, successful social movements have only been successful with the use of non-violent tactics. The strategies of Ghandi, which MLK Jr. implemented during the civil rights movement, need to be studied and adapted to our times. Protests can make them hear us, or we can get attention by filling up jails with civil disobedience actions, we can also scream and shout and rant and rave.. but an economic boycott can force true change. Money talks. IMO an economic boycott would make the loudest noise.

The System…the computer program that alarms the banker who alerts the ambassador who dines with the general who summons the president who intimidates the minister who threatens the director general who humiliates the manager who yells at the boss who insults the employee who scorns the worker who mistreats his [partner] who beats the child who kicks the dog.
Eduardo Galeano

civil obedience. Our problem is that people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of leaders…and millions have been killed because of this obedience…Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves… (and) the grand thieves are running the country. That’s our problem.”

- Howard Zinn

Mexican kindergarten kids stand up against racist white minutemen!

So if I should ever fall and get caught in a hustle
Let them know that I died while I fought in a struggle
From the hoodrats to rich kids lost in a bubble
Spray paint it on the streets and in the subway tunnels
Write it down and remember, that we never gave in
The Mind of a Child is where the Revolution Begins
So if the solution has never been to look in yourself,
How is it that you expect to find it anywhere else?
